We heard rumors on Sunday April 15th at the Cooks Meeting for Rib Teams that the People’s Choice Contest was cancelled. Neil put in a phone call to the Memphis in May offices Monday morning, talked to the staff, and confirmed the rumor.
We offer our appologies to all Visitors and Team Members who were looking forward to this contest.

BrianWe’ve never been to Memphis In May but, were hoping to come down this year until we heard that people’s choice was canceled. I read on the website that visitors can still eat barbecue but, its not the people’s choice. Generally speaking, are the vendors that are going to be selling barbecue the same as the competitors or are they just some random vendors?

NeilI read the Team Manual today and while the People’s Choice contest has been cancelled, MIM has instituted a new Public Tasting Contest in its Place.
