Last opportunity to join is closing up. The absolute last day to join us for the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is Monday May 14th. If we do not have your application by then, it is too late. If you have been on the fence about joining and have waited for the last-minute, that time is now. Joining a team is the best way to make sure you can get into a booth at BBQ Fest as every booth is a private party open to members and invited guests only.

Whether you call it BBQ Fest or by its official name, the Memphis in May World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest, its time is approaching quickly. If you have never been before, we urge you to read our guide on what to expect on your visit. We cover rules for spectators, what to do while you’re there, and the way to get the most enjoyment out of your visit.

Come down and visit Pirates of the Capsaicin at the Southern Hot Wing Festival that is being held this Saturday 04/21/2012. Pirates of the Capsaicin is run by Too Sauced to Pork member Danny and several of us will be down there competing with him for title of best hot wings. Admission at the gate is $10. Teams will be providing wings in exchange for donations. All proceeds from the event go to Ronald McDonald House. We will be at booth #19. The event will be held downtown along riverside drive at Jefferson Davis Park. We hope to see you down there.

We got official word in from Memphis in May that we will be at R-090.  That puts us on the Riverside Dr side of the park near the middle of the event. See below for a zoomed in map of where we are.
