Southern Tier 2x Stout Braised Beef Short Ribs
Lay out Short Ribs on a slice of foil
Lightly coat in salt and fresh cracked pepper
Dust in flour and lightly shake off excess
Butter and Olive oil go in hot pan or dutch oven over med high heat. Wait until they are hot (about 45 seconds) and drop in the short ribs (cut to fit in pan if necessary)
Cook ribs until browned on each side (about 5 minutes each side)
Remove short ribs to plate and toss into the pan the onions and garlic. Cook until onion is tender (about 5 minutes)…Add the short ribs back to the pan
Add in 6 ounces (3/4 cup) of Stout…drink the rest, and the 6 ounces (3/4 cup) of beef stock
Stir and cover, simmering on low heat for 90 minutes. Remove from heat, let rest 10 minutes with lid off
